To me, yoga is not a thing you do, it's a way you are. It is a way to engage within and without. I am privileged to practice, and learn from lineages in which I am humbled to be participating. Yoga is rooted in tradition and culture from South & Southeast Asia that has been misrepresented, appropriated, and colonized in the west as part of wellness and diet culture. I am committed to continuously learn and reflect on my position and the ways in which I can contribute to uplifting those voices that are underrepresented in this community.
